Musicals & Films – One Piece Manga:
One of the most popular and longest running manga of all times, the one piece manga had its debut on television as a series which was produced by Toei Animation. They also produced the one piece feature films which were also very successful. Each of the three films produced earlier were of only one hour duration and were highly individual and original. The plot was not an adaptation of the manga series and even their musicals which were created had originality. The movies had a traditional release during the vacation season of the schools there. Most of the movies had different directors who directed a couple or more movies each in the total movies of the nine that were made. The three directors who shared the nine movies were shared were Atsuji Shimizu.who directed the first, the third and the ninth movie, Kōnosuke Uda who directed the fourth and the seventh movies, and Kazuhisa Takenouchi , Mamoru Hosoda, Takahiro Imamura directed the fifth, the sixth and the eighth respectively. A number of musicals with theme songs and songs sung by the characters in the movies were released as singles totaling up to 49. The music was also released on CDs and albums like the naruto manga .
