Most of us are familiar with ringtones that can be played in the mobile phones. Nowadays, almost all the mobile phone manufactured by different mobile phone manufactures such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Samsung and Apple have the ability to play songs apart from ringtones. But this was not the case in the time period when the mobile phone was new to the world and only a privileged few had the access to a mobile phone in those days. In the time period when the mobile phones were new to the world, there was no concept such as ringtones and free ringtones. In that period there were hardly any major mobile phone manufacturers except for Motorola which was the first company to come out with a mobile phone which was entirely different from most of the mobile phone that we see today. It was not at all portable to carry. In fact it was quite heavy and bulky to carry. Nonetheless, it was seen as a revolution in the mobile communications industry. That mobile phone was preloaded with just a few ‘beep’ sounds in order to help the user identify that a call was coming. But thanks to the advance in technology, now we have access to free ringtones.
